COVID-19 Relief Project – Ongoing Food Grains Kit Donation to Migrant Workers, Poor People living in Slum Areas, Hawkers and Needy Families As India fights the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, daily wage workers are one of the highly affected segments of our societies as they rely on daily wages for their survival. Rotary Club of Panvel Elite and Rotaract Club of Panvel Elite amidst this lock-down have been continually carrying out Food Donation Drive since 29/03/2020 to help these workers. In addition to the migrant workers, poor people living in slums, hawkers and needy families have also been benefitted from these food kit donation drive. So far we have donated 60 food grain kits (2400 kg) each of which would last for a month. Due to privacy demanded by the beneficiaries, we have avoided capturing or uploading any photos. Genuine requirements were identified and the beneficiaries were donated the food grains kits which were sponsored by our club members and partners – Rtn. Dr. Swati Likhite, Rtn. Rajesh Mhatre, Anuja Kelkar, Rtn. Adv. Rajendra Deshmukh, Rtn. Suniti Dixit, Dilip Singhvi, Samadan Patil, Rtn. Bhavin Jain, Rotaract Club of Panvel Elite, Rotary Club of Panvel Horizon and other members of Rotary Club of Panvel Elite.
