Situated about 20kms from the city of Pen is a tribal village called Zhapdi. Inside that village is a Zilla Parishad (District Council) School in a place called Pabal Wadi. The need analysis carried out by our local RCC Borgaon Elite revealed that the students studying at Zilla Parishad School in Pabal Wadi needed school bags to help them with their academic journey. As part of our mega project which included 8 projects in two different tribal villages of Pen, Rotary Club of Panvel Elite in association with Rotaract Club of Panvel Elite donated 100 Rotary and Rotaract Branded School Bags to the students on 13th March 2022. The bags were sponsored by Rotaract Club of Panvel Elite and were manufactured to a good quality and in a way that it would last for at least 2-3 years down the line. Bags were sourced directly from the manufacturer to maintain quality and keep the costs down. Students and school teachers expressed joy and gratitude for the donation and promised to use it in the best possible way in their academic journey.
