A lot of us are privileged that every morning we get to choose the type and color of clothing we wish to wear. However, after using the clothes for a year or two or in some cases for few months, we tend to discard. One of the things that we found out while we carried out old clothes donation project last year was that students in the school were willing to wear used clothes as they generally cannot afford clothes in Tribal villages due to their financial conditions. That prompted us to collect our old clothes, get them washed and ironed. We appealed to everyone in our network to do the same and hand them over to us. On 13th March 2022, We, at Rotary Club of Panvel Elite in association with Rotaract Club of Panvel Elite donated old clothes (in usable condition) to students studying in Zilla Parishad School in Pabal Wadi in Village Zhapdi and to students studying in Zilla Parishad School in Village Telore. This clothes distribution drive was a part of continuous follow up to our ambitious cloth bank project under Happy Village and also part of Mega Happy Village Project executed on 13th March 2022. This is the sixth consecutive year as part of the our ongoing project - Cloth Bank.
