Typhoid fever is an infection that spreads through contaminated food and water. It is rare in developed countries. But it is still a serious health threat in the developing world, especially for children. As many as 30% of people who do not get treatment die from complications of typhoid fever. Typhoid vaccine can prevent typhoid fever. Unfortunately, typhoid vaccination is not included in the primary vaccination schedule of Government. Mostly the economically weak society is dependent on Government for their healthcare & treatment needs. This makes the economically challenged children quite prone to get infected by typhoid fever. So today, On the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti, Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti and 50th Birthday of our member, Rtn. Naveen Chaudhary, we RC Panvel Elite along with the Robinhood Army administered typhoid vaccination to 70 children who live in slums near a hospital in New Panvel.
