We the Rotary Club of Panvel Elite, Panvel have started an initiative called “JAI JAWAN – A Letter of Gratitude” on the occasion of our 75th Independence Day celebrating the “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” The Indian Army protects our country and its borders. They devote their lives to the protection of our nation. So, we salute them, their bravery, their courage, their love for the country and everything they stand for. As a token of Gratitude, we are sending handmade greeting cards and letters made by students to the soldiers on borders of India. This initiative received an overwhelming response as over 650 Greeting Cards and letters were received. 6 Schools and Organizations across Panvel participated in this event by submitting creative hand-made greeting cards and letter to the Indian Army. These cards were sent to 11 different Army battalions across India. Project Chairperson Ann Shradha Munot said that what made this project stand out was the enthusiasm amongst the participating students
