The modern day and age of education is characterized by smart classrooms where high-tech LED screens are seen replacing the traditional whiteboards and tablets replacing notebooks in some cases. However, more often than not, this draws a stark contrast to some section of societies where many of the students studying in schools living in tribal areas don’t even have notebooks. As unfortunate as it may sound, it is the reality. As part of Mega Happy Village Projects, Rotary Club of Panvel Elite, based on the need analysis carried out by Rotary Community Corps Borgaon Elite donated 400 notebooks, 100 each of Sharpeners, Erasers and Pencils on 13th March 2022 to students studying in a Zilla Parishad School in the Tribal Village – Telore in Pen, Maharashtra. Each student was given 4 notebooks which would last for an academic year. There are a total of 100 students across different grades studying in the school. Notebooks and Stationery Kits were sponsored by Rtn. Bhavin Jain.
