Menstrual hygiene is an integral part of ensuring better sanitation in rural villages. Menstrual hygiene management helps woman and girls manage their periods in a healthy and hygienic way. As a part of our Mega Happy Village Project, Rotary Club of Panvel Elite donated 1050 sanitary pads – 525 each to Girls studying in Zilla Parishad School in Pabal Wad in Village and Zhapdi and second to Zilla Parishad School in Village Telore on 13th March 2022. The pads donated were Anion Sanitary Pads which are prevents bacterial infections upon use. In addition to it, Rtn. Alka Mehta, Ann Shradha Munot and Ann Meenal Munot raised awareness and importance of menstrual hygiene amongst the school going girls in each of the two schools having 40 and 45 girls respectively in each of the schools.
