Serving the rural areas whenever a need arises has always been a focus area of Rotary Club of Panvel Elite. Furthermore, Rotary International also emphasises provision of infrastructure for Basic Education and Literacy. On that note, Rotary Club of Panvel Elite donated 15 Adult Chairs with folding table tops and 8 Ceiling Fans to Yusuf Meherally Center, Tara Village near Panvel on 30th November 2021. While the Tables were sponsored by The Vatsalya Trust, Sanpada, Navi Mumbai, the ceiling fans were sponsored by Rtn. Hastimal Jain. Rtn. Dr. Shailashree Kelkar and Rtn. Manjushree Patwardhan helped to conduct need analysis at Yusuf Meherally Center. Mr. Suresh Rassam who is Manager at Yusuf Meherally Center expressed his delight upon receipt of this donation at a very opportune time as they are planning to start a Library for Adivasi (Tribal) Girls where this donation of Chairs and Ceiling fans would be utilized. Some of the fans will also be used at Girl’s hostel and Yusuf Meherally Hospital. We, at Rotary Club of Panvel Elite hope this donation helps the beneficiaries in their journey of attaining knowledge and creating a bright future for themselves.
