The Anns of Rotary Club of Panvel Elite organized a FREE Home-made ice cream workshop online which was open to all. This project was led by First Lady of the club – Ann Shradha Munot and part of Vocational Service. The workshop received an overwhelming registrations of more than 600 people with attendees joining from 7 different countries. This online event where speaker- Mrs. Shweta Bhandari from Belgaum taught how to make ice-cream at home from scratch saw registrations from India, Australia, Singapore, Denmark, USA, UAE and Saudi Arabia. Even within India, there were attendees from different states – Maharashtra, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Goa, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya. Most of the attendees were Non-Rotarians or not aware about Rotary which in turn provided a very useful platform to promote Rotary to them and thereby improve its public image. The attendees found the workshop very practical, doable and even responded back by actually making ice-creams the next day. It helped the attendees with regards to vocational service and some of them are now even making ice creams at home and selling them which has helped them to provide a source of income. “We plan to continue to do these workshops at such scale now that we have the data of these attendees”, said Project Chairman – Ann Shradha Munot.
