55 Children in Ashalaya Orphanage benefit from 1.2 Tonnes of Food Grains Donation by Rotary Club of Panvel Elite as part of COVID-19 Relief Project. COVID-19 pandemic has affected several strata of our society. Lockdown enforced by Government of India was a necessary measure to curb the the spread of the virus. In order to ensure that the lockdown does not cause much hardships to orphanage, Rotary Club of Panvel Elite carried out Food Grains Donation project Around 1.2 tonnes of food grains and essentials which would last for a month were donated to Ashalaya Orphanage which houses 55 children on 07th April 2020. This food grains donation was funded by our club member – Rtn. Adv. Rajendra Deshmukh. The Orphanage expressed happiness and gratitude towards the donation by sending a Thank you letter. The kind words in letter and the fact that our efforts could serve the orphanage gives us immense satisfaction and pride. Rotary Club of Panvel Elite assured the orphanage of support throughout the lockdown and to the best of it’s abilities.
