A lot of us are privileged that every morning we get to choose the type and color of clothing we wish to wear. However, some amongst us don’t even have the privilege of owning clothes to cover their bodies and footwear to protect their feet. This point becomes even more critical when it comes to tribal areas. In order to tackle this problem to some extent, Rotary Club of Panvel Elite carried out clothes and footwear donation drive in the tribal village near Pen, Maharashtra on 17th February, 2019. This clothes distribution drive was a follow up to our ambitious cloth bank project under Happy Village. Overwhelming response to the previous similar clothes donation drive carried out at other tribal villages in Pen prompted us to execute a similar cloth distribution in other tribal village in its vicinity. Furthermore, footwears were also distributed to the villagers to help them protect their feet from rough terrains.
